Finished my hardest, busiest module in the history of my 5-year University career. Should have more time to work on personal stuff in my final module. If all goes according to plan, I'll have my masters degree in May.

Also, watch Girl-chan in Paradise. Even if you've already seen it, watch it again. Some people in the reviews are saying they can't get through one sitting, but I must have watched the thing 50 times and I still laugh. Guess some people just aren't man enough for Girl-chan.

Maybe you've already heard about it by now (and will continue to hear, cause we want a BIG turnout) but The Swain, Egoraptor and I will be hosting a Newgrounds.com booth located prominently in the front of the exhibition hall. My buddy Mike has kicked off the year2009 with a cool new flash series called The W Force. Yes, "W" as in "Walrus." I'm proud of the job we've both done with it and I think it may have been accidentally overlooked by many on it's official release. I wanted to make at least a few more people aware of it. Thanks for checking it out and thank you Newgrounds for all of your support!

So just to clear things up in reference to this video, and some complaints I've been seeing:

The idea of an iphone shuffle commercial and animation is of course st1k's and he came to me to ask me to write and record something he could animate. I had not previously seen any of the alleged copied videos on youtube, and wrote down the first stuff that came into my mind, since it was only made to be a little quicky anyway. Let's face it, it's a simple, fairly obvious gag that has no business being longer than a minute anyway. Anywho, that's what you heard in terms of content, and as far as I know nothing was "stolen" save the copyrighted apple company and product names, but who wants to get into that legalities of all THAT?

The fact that there are other features like it is just proof that it's not a particularly clever sketch to come up with in the first place. That being said, I went and watched the other ones.

This one, the most popular, is 2 minutes long and seems far to slow paced and drawn out (aka BORING) considering it's still just making the one obvious observation that mock phone shuffle commercials would make. "What if we had a phone that crippled our desired functionality as does the ipod shuffle?"

This next one at least gets it's point across very quickly, but uses no original material except the very end, where I assume they did their own mockup of what the iphone shuffle would look like.

This one's drawn out and... just lame?

And there are probably plenty of other total suck variations, but I don't feel like cataloging them. My final point is if I'd known about all these, I probably wouldn't have bothered, BUT in all honesty and throwing my humility to the wind, I think mine was funnier than any of those other ones anyway.

And if you guys didn't like the animation, I guess take it up with st1k.

UPDATE: Okay, Sigma's the leader of the Mavericks. That's the whole joke. I had no intention of putting an actual political slant on this in favor of any party.

Also, apparently other people had made this joke before me. I don't care. If you played Mega Man X, then those are the main times in your life where you actually heard the word "Maverick" prior to this election, so any idiot could easily have made the same parallel. I hadn't seen it made before, so I thought I'd make it my first spam post on this site since I figured the front page would get flooded on election day anyway.
